The parade was attended by military equipment during world war II, including T-34 with the inscription For the Motherland.

On Friday in Krivoy Rog held a parade to mark the 75th anniversary of the city liberation from the Nazi invaders. To honor the memory of the heroes came several hundred people, reports it the First city on February 22.

Celebrations in honor of the holiday started early in the morning in different districts of Krivoy Rog. So, in the Metallurgical district, laid flowers at the memorial of Glory, and in Dolgintsevo people gathered near the mass grave in the Park of Railway workers.

Celebrations in the city ended with the main parade, which took place near the Victory monument on Prospekt Mira. The meeting was attended by MPs, city leaders, combatants, veterans, cadets, representatives of the organization Sich, civil society activists and citizens. The procedure during the parade was watched by the police and national guardsmen.

“The ceremony began with laying flowers at the memorial. Then with a minute of silence in memory of the fallen liberators. On prospect Mira drove a convoy of military equipment – tanks T-34 and fighting vehicles of world war II. At the end of the procession headed to St. George bell tower, which held a memorial service for the fallen liberators”, – stated in the message.

It is noted that in Krivoy Rog remained alive only four of the veterans who had liberated the city from invaders.

We will remind, last year in Kryvyi Rih during the same parade there was a scandal – soldiers of the National guard have used prohibited in Ukraine Soviet symbols.

Soon, the police on this fact opened the proceedings. Commander of national guard of Ukraine was removed from the duties of the commander of the military unit 3011 Colonel Vyacheslav Melnik for the parade under the Soviet flag, and later it finally fired.
