The Committee on national security has developed a “training manual” of what to do and handed over the leadership of the defense Ministry and General staff.

In Ukraine, due to fire in artillery warehouses in two and a half years was destroyed ammunition worth about two billion dollars. This was announced by the Chairman of the parliamentary Committee on national security and defence Sergiy Pashinsky.

“I inform you that over the last 2.5 years, starting from Svatovo, ending with Ichnya, the destruction of ammunition more than $ 2 billion. Officially inform you that only in this budget for 2019 for subsidies to our agricultural barons billionaires pledged more than 5 billion hryvnia. And on the concrete of the vault again, nothing is laid,” – said Pashinsky.

According to him, the issue will also be discussed at the Committee on national security on 17 October, where they will report to representatives of the defense Ministry and the General staff about the events in Ichnia.

“The Committee will tomorrow. There will be analyzed all the questions that were raised: the availability of ammunition and their storage” – added the MP.

Pashinskiy said that Ukraine needs to change the system of storage of ammunition.

“I just wanted to remind you that last year we had balakliia, was Kalinovka. After that, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on national security has developed a “training manual” of what to do. It was all handed over to the leadership of the defense Ministry and the General staff. During the year nothing was done. The situation is this: as is, can not continue to be. We need to radically change the system of storage of ammunition. Spells that we go to NATO, we do not save ammunition”, – he added.

Earlier, the Minister of foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin stated that to enhance the security of ammunition depots Ukraine may use the resources of NATO.
