The European Commission checks the information on the cartel agreements, which were allegedly involved German automaker.

In connection with suspicions in cartel agreements with representatives of the European Commission raided the offices of the German automaker BMW. On Friday, October 20, representatives of BMW, stressing that the company “provides the European Commission with support in its work”. The European Commission has not yet taken legal steps and didn’t press charges against German automaker, although he admitted that raided “one of the German automakers”.

We will remind, on July 21, the magazine Der Spiegel wrote that the five major automakers from Germany, possibly joined with each other in cartels. According to information provided by Volkswagen to regulatory authorities, since the beginning of 1990-ies the representatives of Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, BMW and Daimler met regularly with each other.

Later, BMW has denied this information.
