Most of the crimes related to the embezzlement of property and funds.
The national anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine is investigating more than 100 criminal cases on corruption in state enterprises. About it reports a press-Department service on Monday, August 14.
“The majority of crimes related to the embezzlement of property and funds of public enterprises, the procurement of goods and services at inflated prices, the supply of products through intermediaries at prices much less than market”, – stated in the message.
In the NEB noted that some of these state-owned companies are in the top 100, according to the Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine.
“According to preliminary estimates, the total losses incurred by these companies as a result of criminal corruption offences, more than 20 billion UAH”, – stated in the message. The Department also reported that as of June 30, 2017 detectives NABOO and prosecutors of the Specialised anti-corruption prosecutors sent to court 32 cases of corruption in state-owned enterprises in the amount of 2.4 billion UAH.
Most often, the detectives identify cases of corruption at the enterprises of fuel and energy, military-industrial, agro-industrial complexes and transportation. And in most corruption-related crimes involved the management of the enterprises.
Recall, the National anti-corruption Bureau as of June 30, opened criminal proceedings for 37 senior officials of the country.
