In the Rada offer to make workers 1, 2 and 9 may not endure weekend if the holiday falls on a weekend. The corresponding bill No. 4722 registered in the Verkhovna Rada, said on the website of the Parliament.

The initiators of the bill are people’s deputies Oleg Medunitsa, Andrei Levus, Nikoly knyazhytskyy, etc.

The explanatory Memorandum States that the bill proposes to withdraw the international workers ‘ Day (may 1 and 2) and victory Day over Nazism in the Second world war (may 9) from the list of holidays.

It is proposed to retain only the Day of memory and reconciliation, which is celebrated annually on may 8 canceling the state holiday – Day of victory over Nazism in world war II (victory Day).

The bill also provides for the abolition of the labor laws that in the case when a holiday or non-working day coincides with a day off, the day off is transferred on following after celebratory or non-working.
