The court sentenced to 3 years and 6 months of restriction of freedom of the Deputy of the city Council of Kremenets of Ternopil region Alexander Grinyuk for wounding a policeman in the disco-bar.

According to the version of the accused, he around midnight on 6 December 2016 with his friends came to the disco bar Aqua near the bus station in Kremenets. They ordered coffee and 50 grams of cognac.

The MP said that cognac had an unpleasant smell, accordingly, he suggested that alcohol counterfeit and called the police. The police arrived at the school and began interviewing witnesses. At this point, the Deputy, being in an alcohol intoxication, began to shoot the police on your mobile phone and Shine a flashlight in the face of the detective.

The policeman made the remark to the Deputy Grinyuk, but he punched it in the face of the militiaman. In court the defendant stated that he did not recognize his guilt and claimed that the policeman grabbed his phone and punched him in the stomach. After the incident, the Deputy went to the dance floor, and the wounded policeman was rushed to hospital.

The court found the MP guilty under part 2 of article 345 (deliberate causing to the employee of law enforcement Agency of a beating, lungs or average weight of injuries in connection with performance by this worker of official duties) and sentenced him to 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment. The court also ordered him 3 407 hryvnias of material damage of 20 000 hryvnias of moral damage.
