About half of unemployed Ukrainians have higher education. It on a press-conferences on Wednesday, January 24, according to acting head of Public service of employment Valery Yaroshenko, writes Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, in Kharkov, there are 87%.

“On the account in service today, about 45% of Ukrainians have higher education in big cities such as Kiev, Kharkov, Zaporozhye, this indicator is above 80%. In Kharkov 87% of unemployed people registered with higher education. This suggests that the majority of vacancies for the trade unionists, and those who are looking for work, higher education, and this imbalance does not allow for quick employment,” – said Yaroshenko.

Have Opasny that today in Ukraine about 80% of high school graduates go to universities and only 20% receive vocational education.

“In Europe, the situation has reversed and 70% receive the qualification of “worker tools” and 30% – higher education,” – said Yaroshenko.

The head of service also said that in 2016 in the base employment was about 33 thousand vacancies at the end of 2017 – more than 100 thousand

Earlier, the subscales that in January of 2018, in Ukraine there were 354,4 thousand unemployed, of 45 thousand more than the previous month.
