In Ukraine with NATO created the centre for the protection of cyberspace from interference and hacking. This was told by the Secretary General of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg, reports on Thursday, October 4, RBC.

“Currently NATO is helping Ukraine in creating a response centre for cyber incidents, which will be one of the ways to help her cope with incidents or attempts to interfere with, to intrude or hack into their cyber network,” said he.

In particular, the General Secretary said this at a press conference in Brussels after the meeting of the NATO – Georgia defence Ministers of countries-members of the unit, answering the question about the possibility of cooperation between Ukraine and NATO in the context of countering threats in cyberspace during the presidential and parliamentary elections in 2019.

Stoltenberg also said that funding for this project provides the trust Fund NATO cyber defence.

“We also help them in protecting their own networks and infrastructure,” he said.

Earlier it became known that the head of the defense Ministry of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak will not attend the Ministerial meeting of NATO countries in Brussels on October 3-4. Ukrainian Minister sent a letter to the Alliance with a request to allow him to attend the meeting, but received a negative response.

Before that, the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg commented on the dispute between Ukraine and Hungary. According to him, the search for a solution to the conflict depends entirely on the two countries.
