In may, prices in Ukraine have not changed
According to the statistical Agency, in may inflation in Ukraine has not changed, and in annual terms slowed to 11.7%.
In may, prices in Ukraine have not changed compared to April, according to data of the state service of statistics.
While inflation in April was 0.8%, 1.1% in March, 0.9 percent in February and 1.5% in January.
In annual terms, consumer price growth slowed down to 11.7% from 13.1% in April, 13.2 per cent up to March, 14% in February and 14.1% in January.
Core inflation in may fell to 0.2% from 0.6% in April and 1.4% in March, in annual terms it amounted to 9.3%.
State statistics service clarifies that from the beginning of year consumer prices in Ukraine increased by 4.4% and core inflation was 3.5%.
So, in may compared with April prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages decreased by 0.7%. Most (9.5% and 7.3%) cheaper eggs and buckwheat. 2,9-0,5% decrease in prices for vegetables, milk and dairy products, sugar, lard, fruit, rice, sunflower oil. At the same time, by 0.8 and 0.5% more expensive fish and fish products, pasta, bread, soft drinks.
Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 1.8%, including tobacco goods – by 2.4%, alcoholic beverages – by 1.0%.
The growth of tariffs for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.1% mainly due to increase of tariffs for water supply by 2.2%, Sewerage – by 1.8%, the maintenance of houses and adjoining areas 1.2%.
Earlier in Nabanga said that by year end inflation should fall below 10%.
