Today in Ukraine there are 22 court due to the lack of judges. This was announced by the head of the Council of judges of Ukraine Oleg Tkachuk at a briefing on Monday, August 13.

“Today in Ukraine there are 22 court. According to the data, which is at the disposal of the Council of judges of Ukraine more than 8 thousand judges are now working with 5.2 thousand judges. The other is qualification of the judges, apply for the dismissal, etc.,” he said.

According to Tkachuk, last year, Ukrainian courts have considered 3 million 900 thousand cases of various categories.

“According to the Council of judges should be provided all the conditions in order for the judicial system to work effectively, efficiently, honestly, that cases are examined within a reasonable time. Because we are controlled by the ECHR and every person,” – said the head of the Council.

He believes that thanks to the civil control over the activities of the state, including the courts, “it is possible to achieve the level of democracy and justice that each of us wants”.

Recently the High Council of justice approved the dismissal of 12 judges.
