NKREKU intends to halve the fares for the CTA

The regulator considers non-constructive proposal of Naftogaz and Ukrtransgaz on adjustment of the tariff methodology for gas transportation.

The national Commission exercising state regulation in the field of energy and utilities planning from 2019 to halve the tariff system “input-output” for the transportation system. This was stated by the head of the Governor Oksana Krivenko in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine published on Monday, September 10.

“The first regulatory period is just ending this year, from 1 January 2019 are planned. After analyzing the activities of the company – moreover, there is the need to adjust income down the results of 9 billion UAH – we plan to revise the tariffs. Expected significant reduction in tariffs for entry points and exit and cross-border and domestic, from January 2019,” she said.

The head NKREKU noted that for cross border points, the rates will transform from two-rate to single-rate, and the tariff for all domestic exit points of GTS in Ukraine lead to a common level.

“We saw an opportunity to establish separate tariffs for entry points internal (gas companies) and cross-border. According to the model, the analysis of these changes shows that for our internal entry points rate will be slightly lower than for cross-border. And it will encourage gas companies to mining and gas transmission, will not be on them this load. From 1 January 2019, we plan to establish fees for points of entry and exit, reduced at least by half,” – said Krivenko.

At the same time, the head of the national Commission expressed the view that the proposals of Naftogaz and Ukrtransgaz on adjustment of the tariff methodology for gas transportation, construct does not contain. But for Ukrtransgaz will apply incentive regulation.

As reported, in eight months of 2018, the company was able to produce 10 billion 159 million cubic meters of gas, which is 79 million cubic metres, a year earlier.
