A large port operator DP World will launch the first draft of the Hyperloop for cargo transportation in India.

One of the world’s largest port operators DP World launches its first project of high-speed Hyperloop system in India for freight. On Monday, February 11, according to CNBC.

Stated that last year the state port operator, Emirates signed a partnership agreement with Virgin One for the Hyperloop system of transportation.

“Our first project in India, we signed an agreement and see how to test the project. We believe that in India there is a need. One of the biggest problems in India is the transport tube,” said Chairman of the Board of Directors of DP World Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem.

According to him, the technology of the Hyperloop has the potential to provide a solution to this problem, since the system operates below ground.

It is known that Virgin Hyperloop One is one of several companies developing the technology, which was first proposed by Tesla founder Elon Musk in 2013. The concept involves transport of capsules through a tunnel under the ground at speeds up to 1,200 km/h.

Earlier in Ukraine presented the routes for the Hyperloop.

It was also reported that in the German port want to move containers by using the Hyperloop.
