Press Secretary of the office for foreigners Jakub Dudziak said that about 200 thousand foreigners who are not European Union citizens have a residence permit in Poland. 138 thousand of them – Ukrainians. On Thursday, December 13, reports Polish radio.

It is noted that at the moment the residence permit in Poland have 138 thousand citizens of Ukraine, 7,7 thousand citizens of India, 7 thousand citizens of China and Vietnam, as well as 5 thousand representatives of Belarus.

In 64% of cases, the residence permit granted to persons aged 20 to 39 years. Another 23% – those who are 40 to 59 years. In 10% of cases a residence permit in Poland granted to young people under the age of 20 years.

“The most popular region is the Masovian Voivodeship where the permissions have approximately 64 thousand people, as well as greater Poland and lesser Poland Voivodeship – 20 thousand people. Also this lower Silesian – 13,5 thousand people and Silesian Voivodeship – 13 thousand people,” – said Dudziak.

Among those who received a residence permit in Poland, foreigners who are in the country on tourist visas.

Dudziak also noted that the total number of issued documents for the temporary residence permit in the country is 290 thousand.

Permission to stay in Poland, in most cases issued for a period of 1 year.
