U.S. Secretary of state expressed concern over the escalating violence in the Donbass.

U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry during the meeting with the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin in Brussels expressed concern about the increasing violence in the Donbas and confirmed support for Ukraine from the United States.

“U.S. Secretary of state Kerry met with foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin and stressed the continuous support of Ukraine by the USA, and also expressed concern over the escalating violence in Eastern Ukraine, what is happening in recent times due to ongoing attacks by Russia-backed separatists”, – is told in the message on the page of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine in Facebook.

It is noted that Kerry and Klimkin agreed “on the need to accelerate the implementation of the Minsk agreements as the best means to establish peace in the East of Ukraine.”

U.S. Secretary of state also noted the importance of further progress on reforms.
