Official Kiev and tel Aviv have agreed to solve the issue of non-admission of citizens of Ukraine in Israel. On Friday, August 17, the press service of the foreign Ministry.

In particular, it is specified that the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with Minister of environmental protection of the state of Israel, Minister of Jerusalem and of Jewish heritage, co-chair of the Joint intergovernmental Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on trade and economic cooperation Zeev Elkin.

“To address the question of non-admission of a significant number of Ukrainian citizens on the territory of the Israeli airport Ben Gurion, the parties adopted a decision in the near future to be held in Jerusalem consular consultations”, – stated in the message.

As noted, during the meeting of Ministers held an exchange of views on topical issues of bilateral cooperation. In the context of trade-economic cooperation was marked by the importance of signing until the end of 2018, of the Agreement on free trade between Ukraine and Israel.

The Ministers also discussed the prospects for ratification by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the Agreement between Ukraine and Israel on social security, signed on 28 September 2012 in new York city.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine and Israel are close to signing a free trade Agreement.

At the end of March 2018 Ukraine and Israel completed negotiations on the FTA.
