Kiev asks Russia to extradite the commander of the DNI Pogodin

The commander of the battalion Kerch accused of torture and murder of a student.

The Prosecutor General’s office asked the Russian colleagues to pass the Ukraine combat DNR battalion Kerch, who is accused of the murder of a schoolboy in the Donbass, the press service of the GPU.

“Today appealed to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation with a request to give us one of the leaders of the “DNR” Vadim Pogodin, who in 2014, in Donetsk brutally killed an underage Stepan Chubenko,” – said Deputy Prosecutor General Evgeny ENIN.

It is noted that the Pogodin was detained and contained in the annexed Crimea.

“All lovers of “zrada” just say: it is not the recognition of Russian Crimea, international conventions and the practice of courts of national jurisdiction, indicate the duty of States to provide legal strudnichestve even if they are in a state of war,” podcherknut ENIN.

Three years ago Pogodin commanded a battalion of DNR under the name Kerch, and wore the same Callsign. He participated in the fighting in Slavyansk, Kramatorsk and Donetsk airport.

According to media reports, Pogodin charged with some heavy crimes: torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war and the murder of 16-year-old footballer from Kramatorsk Stepan Chubenko.

On may 8 last year killed Chubenko posthumously awarded the order of national Hero of Ukraine. 21 November 2016 in the school where he studied, a memorial plaque.

Pogodin fled to the Crimea and was arrested by Interpol in Yalta on June 20 on suspicion of murder and pagegenie people, after which he was sent to jail Simferopolskoe.

On 4 July it was reported that Russia prepares extradition Pogodin in Ukraine.
