Ukraine hopes for continuation of negotiations with Israel on signing the agreement on free trade area (FTA), despite the recent complications in relations between the two countries.

This was stated by Deputy economic development Minister and trade representative of Ukraine Nataliya Mykolska, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

“These negotiations (for FTA – ed.) are always based on economic and business interest. As of today, with the Israeli side agreed to hold the next round of consultations in Kyiv in late January – early February, and the other information we have,” said Gaina.

She expressed the view that negotiations on an FTA are quite beneficial for the two countries, and Israel also needs new markets, since competition on the EU market will increase.

“Therefore, I believe that the FTA agreement with Israel will be a priority for next year, and we over it will work, so as you can see it is quite interesting and important interest for the business of Israel”, – concluded Mykolskiy.
