The foreign Minister said that British broadcaster used the correct spelling is Kyiv, not Kiev, and believes this is a result of the campaign #CorrectUA.

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said that the British broadcaster BBC used the correct variant of the English name of Kiev. The head of the Ministry of foreign Affairs wrote on Twitter and added his screen any material.

“I’m glad to see that the BBC probably heard something about our media campaign #CorrectUA and correctly writes the name of our capital: Kyiv, not Kiev. Thank you” − wrote Klimkin and added that the British still incorrectly called Odessa: Odessa is Odesa.
