During the visit they will discuss cooperation between Ukraine and the EU.

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin on June 27-28 will make a working visit to Italy, the press service of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine.

In Rome Klimkin will hold talks with his Italian counterpart Angelino Alfano, will have a series of meetings with leaders of parliamentary factions and will speak at a meeting of the foreign Affairs Committee of the chamber of deputies of Italy.

The purpose of the visit is to step up the Ukrainian-Italian bilateral cooperation, in particular the discussion of the preparation of the next meeting of the Ukrainian-Italian Council on economic, industrial and financial cooperation under the chairmanship of Ministers of foreign Affairs.

“The meetings also will consider issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, questions of counteraction to the Russian aggression, including the preservation of a unified position by the international community to put pressure on Moscow to withdraw Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine”, – stated in the message Department.

Klimkin: US has ideas for pressure on Russia

Earlier, in the framework of the working visit to Thailand Klimkin signed a trade agreement with the Minister of foreign Affairs of Thailand Don Pramudwinai.
