Klitschko, Lomachenko claiming the title of boxer of the decade

BoxingScene and Sporting News may recognize one of the Ukrainians as the winner.

Wladimir Klitschko and Vasyl Lomachenko claiming the title of “boxer of the decade” by two specialized publications BoxingScene and Sporting News.

Klitschko has held 13 meetings in the period from 2010 to 2017, of which 11 ended with the victory of Ukrainian and two defeat. According to the publication, the most outstanding fights of the Klitschko began against Sam Peter, David Haye, Tony Thompson, Alexander Povetkin and Kubrat Pulev.

“In 39 years, he lost to fury, but 41 looked great in combat against Joshua. He even sent a younger opponent down, but eventually lost”, – the newspaper writes.

Among the achievements Lomachenko said his courage and ambition that he challenged veteran Orlando Salido for the vacant title in 2014 and is in his second professional fight. And lost to him by split decision and is largely due to the dirty tactics of Salido. And this is the only defeat of the Ukrainian in their professional career.

The authors note that perhaps Lomachenko has not yet achieved great heights in Boxing, but, by far, is the most prominent boxer.

Earlier, the former coach of the Klitschko Ali Bashir fueled rumors about returning of the Ukrainian in the ring.
