Deputy Prime Minister commented on the scandal with Poland because of the figure of Stepan Bandera.

Politicians should not explain events of the past is not indicative of a responsible attitude.

About it in London said the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic integration Ivanna klympush-Tsintsadze, commenting on the recent statement by the Polish foreign Ministry about the historical figure of Stepan Bandera, reports UKRINFORM.

“I believe that it is irresponsible, if politicians begin to interpret historical events,” said klympush-Tsintsadze.

She approvingly to the attitude to the history of Ukrainian-Polish heritage in the times of the two presidents, Leonid Kuchma and Alexander Kwasniewski.

“Give it to the historians. Say “sorry” and “apologize”, added klympush-Tsintsadze.

We will remind, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski said Poland will veto the potential Ukraine’s accession to the EU, if not addressed historical issues and issues of minority rights.

The Ukrainian foreign Ministry expressed its disappointment with the Ambassador of Poland in Ukraine Jan Pieklo in connection with the statements Witold Waszczykowski on Ukraine.
