Protests against labour law reforms are already more than a month. We are talking about the bill, which should simplify the procedure of dismissal of employees in France and to expand the freedom of business in the organization of working time. Authorities believe reform is necessary to combat the 10 percent unemployment in the country. The reform should eliminate the fear of hiring new workers, says the government. The unions also believe that President Francois Hollande is giving the business to the detriment of the rights of the workers, whose position in the labour market will become even more fragile after the reform.

The first national strike took place on 9 March. It was attended by half a million Frenchmen, claimed the trade unions. Police counted around the country, thousands of demonstrators 224. 31 March, France was the second national strike. On the streets, according to police, 390 thousand people.
