Another cash award received Australian agronomist, who invented a way to successfully grow a forest in arid and semi-arid regions.

The representatives of Saudi Arabia this year received the award for the first time in history. Winners were three human rights activists Waleed Abu al-Khair, Mohammad Fahad al-Qahtani and Abdullah al-Hamid.

The prize of the Right Livelihood Award Foundation was established in 1980. Her Fund is regularly replenished by voluntary donations and has about 313 thousand euros.
