Kyiv during the new year holidays

For most Ukrainians celebrate the New year – an occasion to gather the whole family.

More than 40% (41%) of Ukrainians believe that the upcoming year will be better than 2016. This is evidenced by the results of the survey of Kantar company TNS.

At the same time, 34% of respondents believe that 2017 will be the worse of the year. 255 respondents believe that two years will not differ from each other.

For the majority (54%) of Ukrainians celebrating the New year is an occasion to gather the whole family for 42% – to please others with gifts, 40% – have fun with friends, 37% – to reflect what has been done in life.

The study was conducted from 18 to 23 November 2016 throughout Ukraine (except Crimea annexed) among thousands of respondents.

We will remind that weekend for New year and Christmas in Ukraine to 2017 will not be continuous. Along with Saturdays and Sundays in January, Ukrainians will rest for 11 days.
