It is noted that the destruction of the tanks resulted in a reduction of tanks storing oil at the port of 400 thousand barrels – from 950 thousand Barr. to 550 thousand barrels.

Only in RAS lanuf had five tanks. The destruction of one of them there was a danger of oil leaks and spread of flame on the three remaining stores.

Last week Libya has stopped oil shipments in the main ports, es Sidra and RAS lanuf – clashes in the region between forces loyal to the Libyan national army of the Caliph Haftarot (LNA) and rival armed groups.

In may, oil exports from RAS lanuf amounted to 110 thousand barrels per day and exports out of es-Cider – about 300 thousand barrels per day. Total daily oil production in Libya is about one million barrels.

Before the war 2011, Libya, with Africa’s largest oil reserves, produced about 1.6 million b/d.
