Airline “Ukraine International airlines” intends to sue the passenger who blames the airline in language discrimination by assuming that his ticket cancelled, because he spoke Ukrainian.

Living in the United States the Director of the Ukrainian film club at Columbia University in new York Yuriy Shevchuk wrote on his page in Facebook that his flight from Barcelona to Kiev almost fell due to the fact that he had insisted that an employee of the MAU communicated with him in Ukrainian, and not Russian. Despite the fact that in his own words, the woman immediately switched to Ukrainian, and in the plane he still got Shevchuk considered the incident falling under the concept of “language discrimination”.

Upon arrival in Kiev, he advanced against the charge, which is called “criticism.” In response to the request to provide evidence, Shevchuk wrote “my statement about the cancellation of my ticket from Barcelona to Kiev as discrimination on linguistic grounds is based on, and can only be based on my own impressions of the sequence of events, rather than documentary evidence”.

And despite their own mistakes, a teacher at Columbia University, successfully flew from Barcelona to Kiev” – said in the MAU.
