Медведчук прокомментировал разрыв договора о дружбе между Украиной и РФ

Initiatives to rupture of cooperation with Russia, do not correspond to the interests of the Ukrainian people, I’m sure Medvedchuk.

The termination of the agreement on friendship, cooperation and partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation will strike not only on the Ukrainian-Russian relations, as the state of Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens. So says the representative of the Opposition platform – For the life of Viktor Medvedchuk.

“First, the provisions of this agreement are guaranteed the security and protection of our citizens on the territory of Russia (according to various estimates, we are talking about 3-4 million Ukrainians who annually go to Russia for work, because our “reformist” government could not provide them neither jobs nor a decent salary)”, – said Medvedchuk.

In his opinion, the termination of the agreement, in particular, will strike a mortal blow in the key Ukraine question – the restoration of peace in Donbas. He is also convinced that initiatives aimed at the gap, the termination of cooperation with Russia does not correspond to the interests of the Ukrainian people.

According to Medvedchuk, sooner or later, the Ukrainian government, on the basis of objective realities and needs of the state, you will understand that it is necessary to sign a new cooperation agreement.

“But whether it reflects the interests of Ukraine and whether its provisions even remotely close to what is spelled out in the current Treaty on friendship, cooperation and partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, – the big question. This means that the termination of the “Big Treaty” (again, political short-sighted and strategically disastrous decision) will have disastrous consequences for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people”, – concluded Medvedchuk.
