Not all political forces in Ukraine are interested in the world, the leader of “Ukrainian choice”.

Today our people, as never before, we need spiritual unity is unity, which can become a stronghold of the Orthodox Church,” he said.

According to Medvedchuk, only the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate the only canonical Orthodox Church that preaches the message of peace and unity – is able to perform peacemaking and consolidating mission in Ukraine. At the same time he noted that not all political forces in Ukraine are interested in the world.

Thus, according to Medvedchuk, the authorities are now trying to interfere with the normal activities of the UOC-MP, which causes radical forces to provocations and vandalism actions.

“Hurting one Church and flirting with the other, the Ukrainian government not only violates the constitutional principle of “freedom of religion”. It sharpens inter-religious confrontation, thus creating the threat of religious conflict in Ukraine. But the Ukrainian society now more than ever we need unity, we need something that divides, and helps to unite, “сшить2 country. And that the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church could become the basis for national reconciliation, harmony and unity”, – said Medvedchuk.

Earlier, Medvedchuk said that the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of the law on education is an attack on the constitutional rights of Russian citizens.
