Medvedchuk: Ukraine can not completely abandon cooperation with Russia

Медведчук: Украина не может полностью отказаться от сотрудничества с РФ

To abandon cooperation with Russia, the Ukrainian government can do – because it would put an end to the statehood of Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by the leader of the public movement “the Ukrainian choice – the Right of the people” Viktor Medvedchuk in the comments of the Russian First channel.

He reminded that today the Russian gas transit to Europe through Ukraine, and Kiev was receiving “very significant revenues”. In addition, according to Medvedchuk, last year 56% of coal, Ukraine has bought from Russia.

“The purchase of coal from Russia, transportation of oil, petroleum products and everything else. That is, altogether from any relationship – it means to have to put an end to statehood. But to play, to demonstrate and to hold the next PR campaign about the so-called law on de-occupation, it would be all right,” said Medvedchuk.

Earlier, Medvedchuk called the law on the reintegration of Donbass “delusional and unrealistic set of dreams on the forced return of the territories”.
