Residents of the Crimea issued more than 140 thousand of biometric passports

The state migration service gave 140 295 foreign biometric passports to Crimeans.

Over 140 thousand citizens of Ukraine living in the Crimea, received the Ukrainian foreign biometric passports. On Wednesday, March 13, announced the mayor of Kiev and the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Belotserkovets on his page in Facebook.

“Crimeans continue to receive Ukrainian foreign biometric passports. So, based on the response received from the State migration service on February 1, 2019, were issued 295 140 thousand passports,” wrote Belotserkovets.

As you know, on June 11, 2017, all citizens of Ukraine who have biometric passport can visit without a visa for 30 European countries: all EU countries except the UK and Ireland as well as Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland and Norway. Ukrainians can stay there up to 90 days within each 180 days.

Recall that for 2018, the Ukrainians have issued more than four million biometric passports.

Earlier it was reported that the application for a biometric passport is now possible to file online.
