Another year and a half ago, no one would not hear about the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbas. And now dozens of countries are willing to participate.

Its peacekeepers in the Donbass is ready to send more than 40 countries. On the evening of Friday, April 13, said the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in an interview with reporters, according to Interfax-Ukraine.

“We have today more than four dozen countries have agreed to take part in the peacekeeping operation,” Poroshenko said.

He noted that Ukraine “is extremely important is the issue of peacekeepers.”

“A year and a half ago, the world did not want to hear about peacekeepers – they said it is very expensive, several billion dollars… no one will go to Ukraine to help Ukraine to establish peace as a key element of the Minsk agreements and return the Russians occupied the land under Ukrainian sovereignty,” said Poroshenko.

As reported, Ukraine wants 20 thousand “blue helmets” for Donbass.

Earlier it was reported that Turkey is ready to send peacekeepers to the Donbass.
