Detectives uncovered a corruption scheme at 149 million.

Detectives NABOO and personnel of the Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office uncovered the scheme of embezzlement 149 million hryvnias, the Ministry of defense, which detained the Deputy Minister of defence of Ukraine and the Director of the Department of public procurement and delivery of material resources of the MOU. On Wednesday, October 11, reported the press service of NABOO.

“Now the detectives Bureau and prosecutors SAP arrested two alleged members of a crime – the Deputy Minister of defence of Ukraine and the Director of the Department of public procurement and delivery of material resources MOU”, – reported in NABOO.

According to investigators, in early 2016, the competitive bidding Committee of the Ministry of defense organized the procedure of open bidding for the purchase of liquid fuel. By results of trades on April 26, 2016, the Committee for 14 lots, approved for payment an offer from one of the bidders how the most economically advantageous. 13 and may 18, 2016 between the Ministry of defence and the winner of the bidding was concluded 14 agreements on supply for state needs of the fuel for special equipment at the expense of the state budget of Ukraine for the total amount of more than 1 billion UAH.

According to preliminary investigation, during June-August 2016 in the absence of any legal grounds for amending the contracts for the purchase of goods for the budget funds, the customer and the supplier have concluded a number of additional agreements, under which unnecessarily increased the cost per unit of product an average of 16% of the initial price.
