NAC has named the recommendations of the European Commission for Gazprom

Naftogaz called the four recommendations of the European Commission for Gazprom’s transit contract.

The European Commission recommended that the Russian Gazprom to sign long-term transit contract with the new operator of the Ukrainian gas transportation system. About it reports a press-service NAK Naftogaz of Ukraine in Facebook.

“The European Commission recommended Gazprom to sign long-term contract for a significant amount of European rules and with the new Ukrainian operator GTS, because it corresponds to the commercial interests of all parties and ensures the energy security of Europe. It’s true,” he wrote in Naftogaz.

The NAC notes that Russian state media instead resort to fakes.

“Attempts by Russian state media to convince someone that the EU supports Russia’s desire to contract with political pressure – not true … Be careful, check the information and its sources. This in the coming months there will be many,” said Naftogaz.

The Ukrainian company also added that the European Commission does not support the desire of Gazprom, using political blackmail to evade a lawful arbitration award in Stockholm.

Earlier on Monday it became known that Gazprom sent Naftogaz official proposal to extend the existing contract or entering into a new contract on gas transit through the territory of Ukraine for a period of one year.

In the proposal of the Russian company pointed out that the necessary condition is the failure of both parties from all mutual claims in the international arbitration and the termination of all judicial proceedings.

Putin admitted the termination of gas transit through Ukraine

Recall that the existing contracts of Russia and Ukraine on the transit and supply of gas is completed at the end of December 2019.
