В НАТО рассказали о планах по поддержке Украины в Черном море

NATO will start implementing the “black sea pack”

The Alliance ships will be more likely to visit the black sea ports of Ukraine and Georgia, and also will be enhanced training and exchange of information with partners.

The Alliance approved a package of assistance to Ukraine and Georgia in the Black sea and now have to start implementing it. On Thursday, April 11, said the head of the NATO Mission in Ukraine Alexander Vinnikov in the comments to UNN.

“NATO has a comprehensive package of assistance to Ukraine in 2016. In Washington, the foreign Ministers decided to enhance situational awareness of NATO in the black sea region, and strengthen the support of key partners in the Black sea – the Ukraine and Georgia. So we’re going to pay more attention to visits to ports, training and information sharing for our partners. The decision was made last week, and now its implementation must begin,” said the diplomat.

According to Vinnikov, “package” needs to strengthen existing measures taken by NATO in the black sea region.

“This will be an ongoing process. It will strengthen existing measures of support and as a priority for Ukraine and Georgia will open more events. As you saw recently was a naval group of NATO, visited the port. We expect more such visits in the future, as well as allies on a bilateral basis, sends ships to the Ukrainian ports, and they will continue to do it,” he said.

We will remind, on 1 April in the port of Odessa came two ships of NATO.
