In addition, in the village Horodnie identified Karl Marx monument, and in the village Golitsa – Soviet hammer and sickle.

Of the Institute appealed to the village heads to immediately implement the Law on de-communization. In addition, the institution contacted the police, Prosecutor’s office and the SBU with the aim of bringing to justice the local officials who violate the legislation of Ukraine.

As is known, may 15, 2015 President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a law on de-communization, including “the condemnation of Communist and national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the prohibition of propaganda of their symbols”.

The ban covers all Soviet symbols, condemned the Communist regime opened the archives of the Soviet intelligence services and is recognized as fighters for independence of Ukraine, the UPA and other organizations. Laws were passed by MPs at the session of the Verkhovna Rada by majority vote.
