The incidence of measles in Ukraine is growing
Local authorities intend to prohibit the attendance of schools and kindergartens for the children who are not vaccinated against measles.
In one of the schools in the Limansky district of the Odessa region recorded a measles outbreak. It is reported by the Duma, citing local authorities on Thursday 6 December.
“In the village of Ivanovo was ill nine students – eight students of the first grade and one student is zero. They are all under the supervision of doctors”, – is spoken in the message.
In connection with the measles outbreak in Liman district state administration held a meeting of the regional Commission on questions tekhnogenno-ecological safety and emergency situations. It approved the plan of measures to prevent further spread of the disease.
In particular, it is planned to immunize groups of risk, to prohibit the attendance of schools and kindergartens children are not vaccinated against measles, and conduct outreach on prevention of the disease.
