Novinsky: Europe needs an alternative view on Ukraine

The people’s Deputy Vadim Novinsky saevil that became a member of the delegation to PACE, because Europe needs an alternative view on Ukraine. About this he wrote on his page in Facebook.

“I became a member of the Ukrainian delegation to the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on behalf of our faction of the party “Opposition bloc”. The faction has entrusted me with the opportunity to present the Ukrainian Parliament in the Assembly of the Council of Europe with a simple and very important goal – parliamentarians from more than 50 countries around the world need to hear an alternative point of view on the events in Ukraine. More importantly, participation in the delegation to PACE is not only an opportunity for scoring position, but also the opportunity to discuss what is happening in real-time, decision-making, defining the opinion of a “greater Europe” and its partners,” said Novinsky.

He also noted that spends a lot of international meetings with fellow parliamentarians from different countries of Europe, frequently exchanges opinions, information, estimates of what is happening. And, in his opinion, it is logical to complement this alternative diplomacy is so respected political and communication platform as the PACE.

“Yes, I understand that PACE resolutions are recommendatory in nature and not always run – as, for example, Ukraine does not fulfill the PACE resolution of January 27, 2015, according to which Kiev is obliged to restore social benefits for residents of the territories under the control of the unrecognized republics. But the question itself, the very possibility of breaking through the information blockade and the opportunity to voice an alternative view, an alternative view – is extremely important”, – said the Deputy.

He noted that its inclusion in the composition of the parliamentary delegation called “violent” reaction from political opponents, but from his point of view, this means that his political force is doing everything right, and “caravan” goes on.
