Online shopping intend to accelerate the process of withdrawal of dangerous products from your turnover. Representatives of major online websites like Amazon, Ebay, Rakuten and AliExpress France together with the European Commissioner for justice Vera Yurova signed on Monday, June 25, a relevant agreement.

The company has pledged in the future to respond to complaints from agencies within two working days. “Consumers should be able to make purchases on the Internet as securely as in the ordinary shops”, – said Yurov.

From the new contract should be, then the users should clearly see on the website of the online store how they can report a dangerous product. In turn, courts are obliged to respond to the complaint within five working days. In addition, companies need to create a Central focal point, which could receive complaints from EU countries.

In 2017, the European society for the protection of the rights of consumers filed complaints against about 2,200 products, which is a danger. However, the current EU legislation in the field of online trading currently only requires that the dangerous goods must be “quickly and effectively” withdrawn from circulation, while specific criteria are not specified.

Earlier, the Ukrainian security forces have shut down 11 Internet stores that made money selling non-existent goods. Shops that operate on the Ukrainian market since 2013.
