He noted that in recent time the Internet was published information concerning the elimination of special forces “Azov” from Mariupol that seem to be putting front city at risk and reduces its defenses, and commented on this post.

“We officially announce that in the area of ATO was carried out a planned regrouping of forces and means of the National guard of Ukraine. With the purpose of strengthening of control of the Azov coast, to prevent the penetration of sabotage and reconnaissance groups part of a separate group of a special purpose of military unit 3057 “Azov” was deployed to perform tasks in this direction,” – said Golub.

He stressed that we are talking about a separate detachment of special purpose “Azov”, not the shelf “Azov”. According to the representative of the national guard, the special unit continues to perform the tasks stipulated by the law of Ukraine ” on National guard of Ukraine, including in the Zaporozhye region.

“The quantitative and qualitative composition of the National guard in Mariupol is not reduced, which allows to maintain the defenses of the city at a high level,” – said Golub.
