Payments to employees of the exclusion zone further from the state budget will allocate more than UAH 243 million

From the state budget will be allocated to 243.4 million USD for payments to employees in the exclusion zone. This was stated by Minister of ecology and natural resources of Ukraine Ostap Semerak during a meeting with trade unions of workers of the exclusion zone, the press service of the Cabinet.

“The state budget will be allocated to 243.4 million USD for payments to employees in the exclusion zone. This will affect more than 10 thousand people. I am convinced that the social protection these people have including a good investment in the future of the area. After all the projects undertaken in this area, must be secure and implemented in a timely manner. The key for me is the human factor, and we will support workers of the enterprises of the exclusion zone,” – said Semerak.

According to him, the allocation of such funds became possible after the restoration of the government of the validity of the decree of Cabinet of Ministers of September 10, 2008 “About additional payments to people who work in the exclusion zone”.

As reported, earlier Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman said about the need to develop a strategic approach to the management of the exclusion zone. At the same time, the head of the Ministry of environment Semerak noted that the Chernobyl zone should not be a memorial.
