The pedestrian crossing of Ukraine-Poland is very popular among tourists
Through the village-Dolgobychuv the border you can go on foot.
Border agencies of Ukraine and Poland agreed on the continuation of the pilot project, which is at the checkpoint uhryniv-Dolgobychuv in the Volyn region is carried out to pedestrian traffic.
This period will be 6 months until 31 December 2017. Citizens will have the opportunity to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border in this area on foot, according to the state border service.
The pilot project was implemented in 2015. The extension of the period of its implementation will contribute to the further development of good neighborly relations of the inhabitants of the Borderlands of Ukraine and Poland.
We will remind, in the end of 2016 Poland appealed to Ukraine with a request to extend the validity of a pedestrian crossing point uhryniv-Dolhobychiv, but in the end agreed to extend the experiment to 30 June 2017.
In June 2017, the border service of Poland said that does not recommend to renew the checkpoint due to the lack of conditions to guarantee the safety of people crossing the border on foot.
