Police called the number of convictions for the St. George’s ribbon, in Ukraine

St. George ribbon is outlawed in the Ukraine from the 15th of June 2017

For violation of article of ban St. George ribbon in Ukraine administrative reports were made by 13 people, including three foreigners.

For 11 months of the law banning ribbons in Ukraine, 15 June 2017, the courts held accountable for their production or public demonstration of two people. This is with reference to data of the National police said on Tuesday, may 15, edition Novinama.

Noted that the Protocol was compiled on 13 people, three of them foreigners.

“Please be advised that in accordance with the existing automated accounting of the National police of Ukraine, for Commission of an administrative offense under article 173-3 of the administrative code, a 13-person administrative reports”, – is spoken in the message.

According to police, in Lviv region a Protocol is composed of three people, Volyn and Dnipropetrovsk, two, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Kharkiv and Khmelnytskyi – one.

The police also reported that the article on ban St. George ribbon by the courts in the state budget, collected fines totaling UAH 2550.

Recall, may 16, 2017, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill to ban the manufacture and promotion of the St. George ribbon in Ukraine. President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on Russia Day, June 12. The law came into force on 15 June 2017.

According to the law, public use, display or wearing St. George (guards) of the band or its image shall entail imposition of a fine from 50 to 150 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (from 850 to 2550 UAH as of 2018) with confiscation of the tape or objects containing the image.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine would not let the two Russians from St. George ribbons.
