Ukrainian Institute of national memory has not received a response from colleagues from Poland about the previously announced meeting in Kiev in October. This was announced by the Chairman of the Ukrainian Institute of national memory Vladimir vyatrovich, reports on Thursday, October 11, UKRINFORM.

“We offered the Polish side that this meeting took place in October. So far no reply we have not received”, – stated the historian.

However, he admitted that the Ukrainian and Polish sides can meet in November.

“We have invited the heads of institutes of national memory of Eastern Europe on the events dedicated to the memory of the 85th anniversary of Holodomor victims and, consequently, one is invited and the leadership of the Polish Institute of national remembrance. Perhaps this can be a reason to use this time for a meeting and cooperation”, – said viatrovych.

Earlier the head of the Ukrainian society in Lublin Grigoriy Kupriyanovich was interrogated at the Prosecutor’s office in Zamosc relative to his statements in Sahrani at the event to commemorate those killed by the Polish underground of Ukrainians – residents of the village in March 1944.

Also the Polish government harshly criticized the Ukrainian Ambassador Andrey deshchitsa about the need to restore destroyed Ukrainian monuments in Poland.
