Poll: Over half of Ukrainians were not abroad

Almost one third did not go to Europe.

More than half of Ukrainians – 57,1% never been abroad. This is evidenced by the sociological survey conducted by the Gorshenin Institute jointly with the representative office of Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine and Belarus.

The results were presented in the Gorshenin Institute on Tuesday, July 11.

Moreover, among 42,9% of respondents answered positively to this question, almost one third never went to Europe.

71,6% of respondents said that, despite the abolition of visas, don’t plan to go to Europe within the next year. The main reason is the lack of money for the trip.

The study was conducted by the Gorshenin Institute and representation of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine and Belarus by personal interview. Just polled 2,000 respondents older than 18 in all regions of Ukraine (except for occupied territories of Crimea, Sevastopol, Donetsk and Lugansk regions). The error of representativeness does not exceed 2.2%.
