The meeting of the President of Ukraine and the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland

The two sides exchanged views on important issues of bilateral relations and international agenda.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Jacek Czaputowicz on Saturday, 1 December, and exchanged views on bilateral relations and international agenda. This was reported by the press service of the President.

The sides discussed further maintain intensive political dialogue, expansion of cooperation in the spheres of trade and economy, defence, energy security and border cooperation.

Poroshenko thanked the poles for their active support of Ukraine.

Czaputowicz passed in the name of EU solidarity and support of Ukraine in the struggle for the restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Also, special attention was paid to cooperation between the two countries on European integration and Euro-Atlantic areas, as well as in the framework of international organizations.

The parties have coordinated actions with the aim of using reputable international platforms (the UN security Council, OSCE Ministerial Council, EU Council) for the immediate restoration of freedom of navigation in the Azov-Kerch water area and de-escalate the situation in the region.



Previously Petro Poroshenko has held a phone conversation with President of Poland Andrzej Duda. The sides discussed the conflict in Azov.
