Poroshenko congratulated Netanyahu on the successful elections to the Parliament of Israel.

President Petro Poroshenko on Monday, April 22, phoned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the launch of a free trade zone between the countries. About it reports a press-service of the President of Ukraine.

“Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the contribution of the head of state in strengthening of Ukrainian-Israeli relations and noted the high level of democratic standards in the presidential elections. The head of state thanked the Prime Minister of Israel for the support of Ukraine in the international arena. It was noted dynamic development of bilateral partnership, including political dialogue at the highest level, over the last five years”, – stated in the message.

The parties also stressed that an important indicator of the impact of bilateral relations will be the expected launch of free trade Zone.

Poroshenko also congratulated Netanyahu on the successful elections to the Parliament of Israel.

As reported, on January 21, Ukraine and Israel signed an agreement on free trade zone, which is ready in 2015. It is expected that due to the agreement trade between the countries will grow by 15% and reach a billion dollars.

The implementation of the agreement on free trade area with Israel will take up to seven years.
