In particular, the interlocutors assessed the prospects of the deployment of a multinational peacekeeping mission under the auspices of the UN in uncontrolled Kiev part of the Donbass.

Also stressed the need for the immediate release of all Ukrainian hostages.

“Special attention was paid to cooperation in the sphere of security and defense between Ukraine and the United States, as well as cooperation on further implementation of reforms in our country”, – stated in the message.

Kurt Volker, in turn, informed Poroshenko about the strengthening of sanctions against the Russian Federation, in particular on the introduction to the list of sanctions for another 12 Russian companies.

Recall, Petro Poroshenko heads the Ukrainian delegation at the 73 session of the UN General Assembly. In addition to the keynote speeches at the UN, which will be held on September 26, Poroshenko during the General Assembly will hold a series of bilateral meetings with leaders of the European countries, Africa and Asia, other officials and the Ukrainian Diaspora.

Previously, Kurt Volker said that the six countries ready to send its peacekeepers to the Donbass.
