Volodymyr Yelchenko will combine work in the UN Ambassador’s activity in the island nation.

Permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko appointed Ambassador to Jamaica. The corresponding decree №213/2019подписал the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, reported on the website of the head of state on Saturday, may 11.

“To appoint the permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko Yu, Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Jamaica in combination”, – the document says.

We will remind, Vladimir Yelchenko from July 2010 to December 2015 the Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Russia. After this he was appointed permanent representative of Ukraine to the UN. From January 2016, the permanent representative of Ukraine to the UN Security Council.

Earlier, Poroshenko was replaced by permanent representative of Ukraine to the international organizations in Vienna. They became Eugene Tsymbalyuk.

Also Poroshenko has signed the decree about dismissal from the post of Ambassador of Ukraine in Moldova Ivan Gnatishin. Later foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin explained the reason for the dismissal of this diplomat.
