Poroshenko called on Portugal to support the police of the OSCE mission in Donbass

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Istanbul held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Portugal Antonio Luis Santos da Costa, the press service of the head of state.

Poroshenko thanked the Prime Minister for Portuguese support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, and discussed with him the situation in the combat zone in the Donbass.

“When discussing the current situation in the Donbas President of Ukraine drew the interlocutor’s attention to the ongoing violation by the Russian side to the Minsk agreements. He called on the Portuguese side to support the direction of armed police mission of OSCE on Donbass”, – stated in the message.

The President also noted that the imminent introduction of a visa-free regime for Ukrainians will be the next step to strengthening of contacts between citizens of Ukraine and Portugal.

We will remind, Poroshenko is on a working visit in Turkey, taking part in the world humanitarian summit. Together with Poroshenko in the summit attended by the leaders of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev and Refat Chubarov.
