The President Of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko

The President thanked Western partners “for enduring unity and solidarity in front of the aggressor.”

The leaders of the countries of the European Union decided to extend economic sanctions earlier imposed against Russia for actions in Ukraine. This was announced by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

“Important political decision of EU leaders to continue economic sanctions against Russia for violating Ukraine’s territorial integrity and the unwillingness to stop the hybrid’s aggression against our country. A decent answer for the fulfillment of their obligations and a clear call for a change in policy of the Kremlin”, – wrote the head of state on his page on Facebook.

Poroshenko thanked German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of France Emmanuel Makron, other friends of Kiev in the EU “for strong support of Ukraine and indestructible unity and solidarity in front of the aggressor.”

“The future peace, security and prosperity of our European home depend on the restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine!” – summed Poroshenko.
